Wayne, an organizer of the Centre Wellington Equine Trade Show stopped by to tell us more about the event coming up on April 27. Don't you think hoofbeats radio should do a seminar or have a table? Lol, we need volunteers to even attend and bring us back a report.
You will hear Chapter 31 of Sarah Sheard's blog, Flying Changes. Note that the musical intro tracks are also Sarah's own original contribution... We listen all the way through to Chapter 33. I love these segments!!!
We air the Wind Dancer Rescue segment about Shetland Ponies. The segment intro needs a soundtrack - some kind of musical mixdown. Keep on believing in ponies!
An original short story written and recorded for hoofbeats, by Ian MacD, one time manager of CFRU! Its a tale about a donkey protecting its pasture, and creatures within it - this time a baby bunny.
We rebroadcast an interview by Kenzie, who we expect to return to our volunteer herd in May. Unfortunately, we added her bio audio as a seperate track, when she had already built it into the segment mixdown. Oops! She chats withDawn at Kadish farms, a vet and specialist in dog training with 9 horses on the property. Her kids ride in pony club, doing mounted games, and shares from her experience in competitive trail rides and endurance riding and conditioning especially as in, riding on the roads. I love all the accidental dog sound effects in this clip!!!
Then we rebroadcast a recording where Ian Reid stopped by hoofbeats, with a song dedication to a horse!
The Ask Equine Guelph segment addresses feeding from haynets.
Want to hear what's in store for the next few shows???? Or more about what our volunteers are working on? Plan to tune in to our April horse talk programs...
There was also another NewsFlash. Did you hear it the first time?
