Horse Tales Reporter - Hilary Eastmure

We still air shows from time to time that feature Hilary Eastmure, who recently moved to Nanaimo from the beautiful village of Elora, Ontario. After a newspaper column in The Fergus Elora News and then acting as a hoofbeats radio contributor, host and all around supporting volunteer from 2008-2010, she pursued her goal of working in radio and graduated from the Broadcast Journalism program at Conestoga College in 2011. When a community radio station opened in the neighbouring town of Fergus, and she was hired as the News Director for 92.9 The Grand.

In May 2013, when she got the opportunity to take on the role of News Anchor/Reporter for 91.7 Coast FM, she made the move to Vancouver Island,  and traded a view of the Grand River for the Georgia Strait. She drove across the country with her rabbit Hershey and the reports that the Harbour City already feels like home.
